Do Those Fat Loss Pills Like Hydroxycut Really Work? If They Do, Which One Is The Best?
![]() |
I want to drop some fat so that my six pack can come back. Also I feel my face has gotten a little bit chubby. My cardio routine seems to be getting the rest of my body toned up but it’s not dropping the fat I want.
Do any fat loss pills, supplements work or are they all a fad?

Most weight loss pills are actually diuretics, which will cause you to lose water weight (resulting in weight loss…) but not fat. I have never tried hydroxycut but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s just a water pill (it even has “hydro” in the name).
The only FDA approved weight loss pill is Ali, which blocks some absorption of fat in the foods you eat. Honestly, for the price you have to pay to take the pills, I don’t think it’s worth it. Keep up your cardio routine and try to eat healthy foods and you’ll eventually burn off the fat.
I took hydroxycut Hard core about two years ago and lost approx. 50 lbs. It is/was a great product. I had to stop taking it when I found out I was pregnant. I was already starting to wein off of it, before I found out I was pregnant. I did not take the recommended amount daily. I just thought it was too much to be taking daily. I recently started taking it again (to loose the baby weight) but am now scared because of the recalls on it. I tried alli, DID NOT WORK– I even tried just eating healthy along with my daily cardio and weight training and was not getting anywhere.
