Instead of going on a low calorie or low fat diet, it is much better to eat a diet consisting of fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains (such as brown rice, oats, rye and wholemeal wheat) along with good sources of protein (such as eggs, fish, nuts, seeds, and lean meets). Eating a balance of foods like this will provide your body with the energy and nutrients it needs to function effectively. You should then look towards leading an active lifestyle, aiming to get some form of physical exercise every day. This is the healthy route towards long-term weight control.
