Can A Combination Of Walking And Eatting Raisins Increase Weight Loss?
![]() |
I read in a magazine that eatting raisins increases weight loss. The first control group was the group of people doing some amount of walking (i forgot) and the 2nd group was the group doing that same amount of walking as the first group while eatting raisins. The group eatting raisins lost more weight. Is this true? If it is, why would this happen? Is there something in the raisins that affects the body’s way of managing fat?

walking is good. You can walk and take this one http://tinyurl.com/oeihg365
I lost my weight doing so.
The American diet is just plain unhealthy. Raisins have a lot of fiber which is a deficiency for most Americans. You can get the same effect by eating whole foods (fruits and vegetables) that are not cooked or otherwise processed.
- Drink only water.
- Eat whole fruits and vegetables instead of packaged drinks.
Get at least 30-60 minutes of aerobic exercise five days per week. For optimum results, go on a low-fat vegan diet.
The human body is designed to handle feasts and famine by building body fat during feast times. Today, we have only feast times and the human body cannot handle that well on its own. The key is exercise and a diet that excludes excess:
- fat, oils
- sugar, sucrose, fructose, processed carbohydrates
- dairy products
- meats
Be moderate and read what Dean Ornish has to say. His books should be available at your local library.
Hello Toast;
Raisins are a good choice for both weight control and general health.
Fruit in general contains energy giving fructose, several essential vitamins, minerals, and loaded with fiber. 1 cup of Raisins = 5.4g.
They are beneficial for high blood pressure, fluid retention and Relief for constipation. They are rich in potassium & selenium, contain vitamin A and some vitamin B.
Raisins are high in calories 4 ounces = 250 calories. But, the high calorie content make an ideal snack for anyone involved in sports or any rigorous exercise/activity.
Raisins can help you lose weight. Eating raisins, you feel satisfied and can stave off hunger. They increase the leptin levels, which is the hormone in our bodies that control hunger.
So enjoy, start including raisins in your daily routine.
Raisins are about 60% sugars by weight, most of which is fructose. Raisins are also high in certain antioxidants, and are comparable to prunes and apricots in this regard. As with all dried fruits, raisins have a very low vitamin C content.
they actually increase metabolism and consume FAT.http://myflatbelly.co.cc
The raisins don’t have superpowers. Basically, it gives you energy in a rather low calorie and healthy fashion. You might be less tempted to binge or snack on high calorie when you’ve had a raisin snack – those can help control your sugar craving. Other than that, I don’t see. Don’t overdo on the raisins tho.
Raisins have a lot of fiber and will get things moving. If you eat enough of them…things will move a LOT. So..yeah…that will do it.
I have been through it all and know what’s it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can’t be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I’ve worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.
Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.
First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can’t eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising…
This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it’s good for the heart.
However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It’s so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I’ve found a great addition to help any one out, it’s a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don’t get all crazy on me and say diet pills don’t work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn’t meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It’s an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace dot com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it’s the best pill I’ve tried and I’ve tried cupboards full. Now this doesn’t mean you have to follow my foot steps but I’ve successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day.
Well good luck and remember what I said, Dedicate.
Sorry… forgot to say great post – can’t wait to read your next one!
