Okay…but I’m watching what I’m eating….I’m even exercising and yet I’m not losing “fat”. Help!
Very common! The truth is, you are probably NOT on the most efficient diet for your body for beginners. ( for most of us, we should be on high protein, low carb and calorie programs if we have MORE than 10 pounds to lose) But equally as importantly, you are probably not getting the right type of exercise either. Fact: You need to do at least 20 minutes, of high intensity cardiovascular exercise for your body to really burn body fat efficiently. Light stretching, and other simple movements are better than nothing, but if you are able to do more ( and most of us are) you should be increasing the intensity of your workouts to truly burn that belly off.
But what if I am not able to do a lot of cardio? I need to work up to it! What can I do right now to REALLY burn the fat?
The truth? Strength training for muscle is the #1 thing you SHOULD be doing to get rid of body “blubber”. Why? Too many reasons to list! Weight training, even with light weights is not only a proven way to amplify your metabolism in powerful ways, the more muscle you have, the more fat you are going to burn with each and every workout as well. These are very complimentary concepts….and once you integrate some resistance into your workout, AND pick a diet that really works, you WILL get the kind of amazing gains ( or in this case, losses!) that you are looking for!
