When dieting men should generally be getting around 2400 calories a day. Women should be getting no less than 1800 calories. Although the calories ranges are pretty different we should be going for the same foods. Eating more natural foods like oatmeal, turkey, and spinach are much better for our fat loss gains regardless of gender. Having more processed foods like going to fast food places will only hurt our bodies. It is fine once in a while but you need to watch how many calories you eat when going to one of these places. Having a few bites to satisfy your craving is much better than making a hole meal out of it.

There are many differences between how men eat and how women eat. When going on a diet plan men are able to eat more without gaining more. That is because they have a faster metabolism. Our bodies can breakdown calories faster. I know it is sad for some women but it is the truth. There is a reason why many diet sources tell us that women are only allowed so many calories in a day. Men get to eat more. But we also tend to get more hungry and need more food to satisfy it.

The other thing to take into consideration is that men tend to weight train more than women. Not many women are into weight training. Men have testosterone that plays a very big factor in growth. Weight training burns a lot of calories and builds muscle. Building muscle is also great for fat loss because the muscle tissue overcomes the fat storage.

Women should focus more on diet and light exercising. Cardio is always a good choice.
