Stay away from high carbohydrate foods such as cakes, breads, cookies, honey, potatoes, dried fruits, syrups and jams.

Additionally, high fiber foods are typically low in filling and calories, so you can reduce your calorie intake overall. The rich sources of fiber are processed cereals like rice, wheat, maize and ragi; legumes like millets, beans, vegetables like turnips, carrots, leafy vegetables and fruits. Leaving the skins on fruits and vegetables will also increase your fiber intake.
