Choose carefully. Alot of them are a complete waste of money. Try to find a certification that is accredited by a third party such as NCCA/NOCA or IACET. This is really the only way to sort out the good from the bad unless you are very familiar with the industry. Personally, with having been in the fitness industry for a little while now - I believe the best certification company is IFPA. www.ifpa-fitness.com. They certify people not just all over the U.S. but the world. I have had nothing but excellent stuff to say about the guys at IFPA.. Their next fitness conference is overseas in Bali.
