The first thing is to look at yourself as beautiful young lady, regardless of your weight. Next drink large amounts of water. No junk food! Eat 6 small meals a day, if you must munch, munch on carrots or celery. Continue to exercise. Alot of young people are doing through the same thing so don’t feel alone. The food in England is different and it may take time for you to adjust, plus your body is going thru hormone changes. If you are a equestrian England is the prefect place to hone those skills and another excellent form of exercise. I Also agree a trip to your physician is in order, his or her advice is much better than any of your mates will give you. Enjoy this wonderful time in your life and believe that you are beautiful and you will be.
Well, since you are 16, you probably still have what every one calls “baby fat”. It’s normal until you are 22 or so. I would just make sure you have the 5 fruits and veggies in your diet every day, and moderate your fat, meat and oil intake. Other than that, joining a gym is a plus, and since you have already done that, you’re going to be just fine! Good luck!
Try to avoid carbs (and sugars) as much as possible.
A diet is only as effective as what its worth…
Fad diets are like fashion fads, they seem cool and hip at the time, but years down the road people go “What was I thinking!?”
At 16, my suggestion is this. Change your lifestyle, don’t diet.
Eat healthier, but don’t freak if you wander.
Excercise, but don’t make it a priority.
Join sports teams. (Track is nice, as you can work out and never really have to be the “star” so to speak…same with cross country.)
Get out of the house.
Walk, take the stairs, etc etc etc.
And reward yourself with non-food items for attaining goals.
A balanced diet that includes all the basic food groups is best for a teenager. You have to watch your portions, and be sensible about how much you eat. Snacks are okay, as long as they are healthy ones, such as fruit, vegetables and whole-grain crackers. The things you want to avoid are excessive fats and sugary snacks that give little in the way of nutrition, but loaded with empty calories. Increased physical activity in the form of walking and working out at the gym you’ve joined, will help burn calories. I am not a believer in fad diets that deprive you of needed nutrients. The key is to eat sensibly and in moderation. Good luck! I hope you reach your goal by August.
It is not a matter of fancy diets, it is a matter of excercise, drinking plenty of water, limiting your food intake and avoiding a lot of fattening foods.
Don’t be too obsessed with losing weight. It takes time, but you will start feeling better because you are excercising and eating better. The better you feel the more you want to stick with it, before you know it, the weight is coming off. Visit my 360.
just exirsise like sit ups and stuff every night before bed. You could Try to eat less at meals. Still put on there as much as you usually eat but don’t eat it all. Stop when there is still some left on your plate. Eventually your stomach will get used to eating less and less and will feel full cause your stomach shrinks. Slim fast before meals can also help you feel full. That way you don’t eat that much. Slim fast just has vitamins. I like the royal chocolate.
Weight Watcher’s Meetings.
They’re fun, entertaining, informative, and supportive.
Especially if you have a time frame and goal, meeting with others at least once each week will be a great help.
Talk to your doctor….
anorexia…………..JK
you need to work out every other day and eat healthily…those food groups and given portions werent put there as a joke…follow them.
think about why you are overweight in the first place…is it baby fat? is it from eating incorrectly? reflect on what you need to do, and know you can do it no matter what the reason is.
and above all else…know that you have to lose weight for your health and for YOURSELF… not for anyone else.
Having a good diet in the UK will be difficult. The most important thing is dropping the salts, sugars, butters, fried, oils, sodas, fast food and alcohol. Drop those and you are already on your way. The other thing is be conscience of the nutritional value of the foods your putting in your body. If it doesn’t have anything to offer you don’t put it in your cake hole.
i think you should eat healthy, no fried food or grease. and excersise daily or ever other day! if you have to go on the south beach diet and see a nutrishonist.
Try the Atkins Life Style. You wont go hungry at all but still lose weight by cutting on carbs to less than 20g per day. You can buy the book and get all the details. (you can also eat some of the Atkins candy bars in this diet, its awsome)
You also defenetly need to excercise and drink lots of water.
Dance! Play pilates it is not exhausting like other sports. Sets realistic goals for your self, ex: I am now waiting to lose 4 more pounds to go get my self a tattoo! But I cant till I lose those 4 pounds, this always keeps me encouraged.
Dont think of it as a destination, but as a journey. Take it step by step. Good Luck!
