What Kind Of Exercise Would Be Safe For A Disabled Person?

My husband had a spinal fusion a few years ago, that has left him disabled and in a great deal of constant pain. He now wants to loose weight, but can’t do a much of physical activity. His diet is very healthy, but that doesn’t help to loose weight. Are there any disabled people out there that have a regular exercise routine?

my mom knows someone that had a spinal fusion and she can walk so have him walk around the park or around the block or go up the stairs.
my mom said he should go to the doctor and physical therapy.
HOPE THIS HELPS
ps.
it all depends on the type of spinal injury massage therapy and physical therapy would get him going -
can he walk? If so, then just walking around the block.
