I am at 10% body fat and I want to go down to 8% or so, but I’ve done a lot of lifting lately and don’t want to lose the muscle I’ve gained. How can I minimize the loss of muscle?

  • taking about 40 grams of L-Glutamine daily and a good 20-30 grams of BCAA’s. take the L-Glutamine 1st thing in the am and before/after training, before bed. take 1/2 the BCAA’s before training and 1/2 after. make sure to track your calories and body fat %. start doing high intensity interval training like HIIT Cardio or MaxOT Cardio

    You can build muscle while losing the fat by doing certain things like continuing your calcium and protien intake and doing excersises that target fat burning like cardio. The best cardio there is- walking.

    Exercise while you diet. Exercise builds muscle which burns fat. Otherwise your body uses up its reserves and lives off its own muscle-when you diet alone without exercise

    I think using protein powders will help to maintain muscle mass when you are trying to go down to such a low fat percentage. Also remember that your body uses what is at its disposal. if you do extra heavy workouts and then dont replenish your body will break down muscle.

    I know its a simple answer but weight lifting. Doing resistance training keeps your muscles and helps burn fat.
