How Can I Condition And Exercise Without Being Able To Walk?

Fat Loss 4 Idiots

I’ve been getting hurt a lot and I need to start conditioning for sports, but I’m not sure how I can exercise without running. I pulled my IT band then sprained my ankle. I also have to lose some weight. How can I do this? I’ll be better by the time the sport starts.

Use weights while sitting do repetitious strength upper body exercises. Also tensing muscle groups and relaxing in between tones your body. Movement of any sort you are able to , should be done If you don’t have dumbbells use 2 cans of equal weight to tone that upper body. Seated jumping jacks , etc.. be creative and keep moving! Good luck to you!

    Aerobics: alternate
1] swim, with a paddle board and without
2] walk on a treadmill, or flat track
3] bike on a stationary one, please – at least until you recover
Take tylenol or ibuprofen before, and ice after.
Take it gently – don’t exercise past mild discomfort.
    Muscle:
a] use weight machines – again focus on all parts; and take it easy to start
b] weights every other day; or dif areas of body dif days
Increased muscle mass will burn more calories, and increase stamina
    Daily:
pushups, pullups, situps, obliques, and crunches – three sets each of ten reps. Increase immediately if too easy – twenty or thirty reps.
    DIET:
1] avoid all fried, fast, and junk food – even diet junk food
2] drink 1/2 gallon of water daily
3] take a good quality multivitamin with minerals daily

Your doctor or trainer could give you some exercises depending on your individual circumstances.
There are pre-conditioning exercises that you can do.
Those that are appropriate for your situation need to be evaluated by a professional who as examined your currently hurt body.
