i’m just assuming that u must be a girl…well girls tend to put on weight at three different stages in life. at the onset of puberty, during pregnancy and during the menopausal stage. so i guess that once u hit puberty, u might gain some weight if u dont keep track of what u eat n do not get any exercise at all. when i hit puberty i put on weight, partly because of the puberty and partly because of not getting the same kind of physical activity when i was younger….so i just incorporated some amount of exercise n watched what i ate n i was back on track…
n i dont think that being fat, thin or being inactive or active has much influence on ur onset of puberty…

I had a really bad diet and still do to some extent. It didn’t effect me at all, infact I grew from 5′3 to 5′9 in a year and lost 2 stone. So you should be fine.
I didn’t exercise either apart from PE at school.

fat children tend to enter puberty earlier than skinny people do.
this is usually because fat children have more neutrients ready to facilitate the enormous growth a child goes through during puberty.
a diet affects growth(including puberty) in an enormous way. your body cannot enter puberty if insufficient nutrients enter the body, in extreme cases like anorexia women we sometimes see that before the age of 20 they still have not had their first period. Alcahol use can als hamper growth.
excersizing has nothing to do with pubertyy itsself, not excersising however is not healthy and you should think about practicing atleast one sport.
