A lot of us need to lose weight. Once we have decided that we will lose weight we can get overwhelmed with all of the diets that are out on the market right now. We do tons and tons of research on dieting and whenever we try a diet we fail and then we stop because we don’t like the diet that we are doing and we start missing the food that we really enjoyed having before hand and start pouting.

One of the really big mistakes people make when they are trying to lose weight is they think that losing weight is dieting and they don’t make it to their goal weight because of it. I can not stress this enough but when you are losing weight you should not diet! What?? I see that confused look on your face. You’ve been told in order to lose weight that you must diet. Nope. When you are losing weight never use the word diet. Think of it as changing your life style. People make the mistake of going back to their old ways and habits. This will cause you to gain more weight. When you have reached your weight goal maintain your new and healthy eatting habbits. Don’t go back to having pasta and candy bars at every meal. You will go right back to the weight that you use to be if not more.

Get negative thinking out of your mind because guess what? You can do this!! There are lots of ways you can do this. Join groups online and forums to help you. Join a gym and exercise. Start up a group in your neighborhood and get together. You will be surprised at how many others would love having someone else help them lose weight. Do it together and encourage each other. Buy books on weight watchers that will help you at the meetings and read them allowed.

Repeat to yourself ” I am not dieting, I am changing my eating habits.” Once that really sinks in you more then likely will make it to your goal weight. People also get frustrated at the word diet. Right when they hear that word they want to stop. You will not make it that way. That is why I said take the word diet out of your memory and pretend that you have never heard of it before. Write it down on a sheet of paper and toss it in the trash crash. Let go of the word diet and start looking forward towards the goals of having a healthier new life ahead of you.

You deserve to be healthy and your body deserves a healthy body also.
