I’m trying to loose weight, actually I have been trying for the last six months… I’ve experimented with a lot of different things, but I think I finally found something that might work.

That’s sad. I’m sorry. No one is giving you good advice. Well fear not cause I will. You have probably… 60 lbs to lose, and a lifetime of habits to change. I know.. I’ve lost 60 lbs and I have a little farther to go

Lucky for you that you are old enough to feed yourself, make good habits for yourself. Its not so hard and it lasts a lifetime.
First thing I found was that there is a ton of people wanting to rip you off… by selling you something. The best, easy, and only way to lose weight is the following.
You have to expend more calories than you take in.
I had trouble finding out how to do it. I read alot… strength training (most effective weight loss tool.. for boys and girls… seriously), picked my aerobic activity… which is bicycling… and its fun and gets me places. Mostly the hard part was diet. If you are 185 lbs you’ve been doing it wrong
I used sports nutrition as my source of information… I figured if they pay millions to pro atheletes, then they probably don’t lie to them about the powers of acai berries or whatever. I learned a TON. Mostly that every food i loved was high in fat.. and that was my big problem.
Anyway… enough about me. You need to strength train to build muscle, and keep the muscle you have while you diet. You can lose 1 lb of fat a week pretty easy.. and 2 lbs of fat a week if you are willing to work for it. that means activity. Lots of it. I’m gonna guess you need… 100g of protein, and 300g of carbs a day… thats 1600 calories. If you are pretty active.. walking, moving around, going places… and you get that 100g of protein and 300g of carbs from lowfat or nonfat sources (let your body supply the fat you need), you will lose the first lb a week. Eat six times a day and you wont get hungry. You wont snack…
And at 185, if you ride a bicycle, you can burn about… 600 calories per hour. About 300 for walking, lots more if its up a hill. So a 2 hr bike ride every other day will get you the other lb a week. Yeah i said two hours.. yeah its a long time.. and you have to build up to it.
Its worth it… inside your fat suit you will be building the fittest person you’ve ever seen. When you finally do lose the weight you want to lose, you will be an athlete.
And remember.. this yahoo answer isnt enough. You need to educate yourself. If their plan differs from the one i told you, they are probably lying. Nothing else works. Seriously. I’m not kidding.
