What Happens To The Fat That’s Removed From Obese People During Weight Loss Surgeries?

I’m watching a show about people who are undergoing weight loss surgeries, and I want to know what happens to fat that’s cut off of their bodies? It’s possible it could be incinerated after the surgery, but if it is, what do they do with the ashes?? I really would like to know the answer to this.

they put it in a bio/toxic waste bin and idk where it goes from there
(if a patient is undergoing PLASTIC surgery, sometimes they will want to transfer fat to different parts of their body- ie: butt implants)
I think they use some of it for medical research.
Bio waste bin; incineration; ashes probably buried somewhere at a landfill.
