    I think you might mean “Specific Fitness”.
    In which case; general fitness is the ability to perform every day tasks without becoming short of breath. On the other hand, specific fitness is the ability to perform at a high level.
    The two have a set of characteristics.
    General fitness has the 5 S’s (speed, stamina, suppleness, strength and somatotype), where as specific has, what I use, CRAPBS (co-ordination, reaction time, agility, power, balance and speed)

    I think the terms you are looking at are general fitness which is whole body fitness and performance and Specific fitness which targets single areas such as arms legs abs etc easy mistake to make if just talking about fitness regimes
