To be qualified as an expert or professional, yes, training is required. To be an attendant or receptionist, no. If you are interested in the fitness field, why not find a Certification program and go for it? I have a nephew who is a Certified Personal Trainer and he makes excellent money. Just as I have to be certified, licensed, and insured to perform massage therapy, you must be knowledgeable about the human body and how it works in order to teach others safely.
Look in any fitness magazine – there are ads from the certification organizations.
