In college I used exercise bikes frequently and it really helped my stamina when I ran long distances. Im just wondering if the exercise bike helps shed some stomach fat.

Exercise does not burn fat in any selective area. You burn fat throughout your entire body. If you want to tone up your stomach areas, you should do some ab-specific exercises in addition to your cardio workouts.
I do a lot of cycling, it’s a great cardio workout and not as tough on the knees and joints as running is, although running and cycling work different muscle groups.
I would choose swimming if an indoor pool is available in your area. I personally ride an exercise bike at home for convenience and time conservation. I think any helpful advice to you should be based on the climate where you live. And since you had exercise bike success in your past, I would be biased to returning to the bike. All factors being equal.
They do. but running would probably be the better option, that burns fat alittle faster.
I agree with crazydav. Exercise bikes would not help you with stomach areas. When I was surfing around the internet, I saw some online shopping selling exercise bikes like lifespanfitness.com.au, I just recalled the ‘history’ that I ride the bikes almost 10 years. It gave me good stamina and cardio workout as well as strong Thigh.
Have you guys tried ridding outside while it’s rain, windy. Believe me it’s really good venture.
