When I first started running, it took me months, if not years to get to a decent distance. These days, if I have a period away from running, say a month, I rapidly become unfit, and a jog around the block is accompanied by much gasping and tiredness. But within a month, I can be back to almost full fitness. So I would say your body does regain fitness more easily if you have been fit before
fitness is weird coz if you start to train and train for 6 weeks and then stop it takes just two weeks to get back to the start it’s called reversibility
Fitness would be muscle, wouldn’t it?
So yeah. Its easier the 2nd time than it is the first.
It depends on your age. The older you are, the harder it is to regain muscle/fitness…
