I read in Prevention Magazine that it’s best to eat 2-4 hours before you exercise and make sure you drink plenty of water. You can eat right after exercising.
I have read that you don’t necessarily have to wait before or after exercise.
But you might be better served to wait 30 minutes after eating a light meal, and 30 minutes after the exercise.
Also depends on what you eat.
I think it is 1/2 hour to 1 hour
Personally, I tend to feel a little sick and bloated if I exercise within an hour after eating. (I mean intense exercise, not like taking-a-walk exercise.)
But right after a good workout, I always eat within half an hour, because my metabolism is roaring and the food will be used right away and not stored.
two hours both ways
Two hours for each.
