Trying to lose weight super fast, eh? Join the club! We all want to drop a few pounds and we want to do it faster than anybody! It’s great to be motivated to lose weight, but if you don’t keep realistic expectations, you are pretty much setting yourself up for failure.
How To Lose Weight Super Fast
Losing weight is accomplished by giving yourself a caloric deficit of no more than 500 per day. Take it beyond that and you’ll put your body into starvation mode, where it hangs on to every calorie for dear life. You can’t burn fat anymore at this point, no matter how hard you try.
So how fast can you lose weight, realistically? If you consider that 1 pound of body fat stores 3500 calories worth of energy. Also consider that you should never give yourself a higher caloric deficit than 500 daily. Let’s say that for one week, every single day you have 500 calories too little. Over the entire week, that’s 7 x 500 = 3500 calories. So you could burn 1 pound of fat per week.
After around 6 weeks of being on a calorie deficit diet, your body will stop the fat burning process. By that time, you need to get on a diet that will slowly raise the number of calories you take in. Keep exercising and your body will raise its metabolism in order to be able to burn these calories. You will increase your metabolism, without gaining any of your lost weight back.
It simply won’t go any faster than that. But with 1 pound per week, you can still burn 4 pounds per month. That’s more than enough to notice real results. You will feel and look slimmer and other people will tell you you’ve lost weight.
Once you’ve increased your metabolism, you can start another fat loss period using the caloric deficit from your diet!
