What Are the Calories Required to Lose Weight?

One of the main reasons why people are so unsuccessful in losing weight, is not really because they are not motivated or do not try enough, but because they do not keep track of their calories and they also do not measure their progress the right way. People who do not to that have no idea what they should change, if they hit a weight loss plateau fro example. But enough of that lets try to answer your question.

There are many ways how you can reach the desired calorie level. The most common method is simple to reduce the amount of food you eat. This is a very effective method, but you have to be really careful, not to be too strict and fast. Reducing your calories too much will slow down your metabolic rate and make your body actually hold on to your fat, plus starving yourself is not a very productive past-time.

To lose weight simple got to burn more calories, then you consume. That is very easy to understand for everyone – you are required to consume less calories, then you burn. It is also essential of course to know exactly how many calories you are actually burning and how many calories you are consuming. That also means counting calories, which most people do not like. But it has to be done.

The second option is to increase your physical activity, so you burn more calories, then you take in. Endurance athletes require 6000 calories or even more a day, just to maintain their weight. Bodybuilders can also eat much much more food, without getting fat, because all these muscles are burning away the calories. Of course most of us will never become endurance athletes or bodybuilders, so this method has problems as well.

The best option of course is to combine both of them for maximum benefits. Then you do not have to starve yourself or kill yourself with exercise. Then you really have to keep track of your calories, which is not that hard as you think it is.

Quick Diet Loss, and the Whole Truth About Losing Body Fat

The truth when it comes to losing unwanted body fat is that diets do not work.

The FDA has confirmed this without a doubt. In fact in one of their reports they stated that there is not one weight loss company or fat loss product that has been able to produce permanent fat loss.

The flaw with using quick diet loss as a strategy to create irreversible, long term weight loss success is that after you lose the weight and go off the diet, the weight creeps back on.

In this article I will explain why using a diet, in fact, any type of diet is the wrong approach when it comes to reaching your ideal body weight and then maintaining it for life.

And to explain this flaw it will only take me a few sentences.

This is especially true for people that have a slow metabolism, and simultaneously love to eat delicious, high calorie foods. (I am this type of person, so I know this for a fact).

When you attempt to use a quick diet loss approach what happens eventually? Obviously there is one simple answer…hunger. You have to understand one thing to create permanent fat loss, and here it is–if you do not provide your body with what it needs and wants you will never be able to lose weight permanently.

If you are also this type of person, then no matter what you do, at some point you want to start eating like a normal person again. And as soon as you start doing this the weight will come right back.

This is why quick diet loss is the most in-effective strategy that you can use to lose weight permanently.

Why do so many people keep using diets over and over and over? Especially taking into account that the results that they all produce are exactly the same?

I think it is because no one explained to them that you can use a “lazy approach” that I have been using for more than 15 years to maintain my ideal weight. This is the same weight loss strategy that helped me to lose over 110 pounds many years ago, and go from weighing 285 pounds to reaching my ideal body weight of 175 with 10% body fat.

How to Lose Body Weight – 5 Must Do Dietary Rules to Follow

I am often asked how to lose body weight, it is a question on countless people’s minds and there are many ideas and theories floating around out there in magazines, books and on the internet. This article aims to cut through all the fluff and give you the 5 “must do” dietary rules that should form the basis for any healthy and effective weight loss program.

1. 5 or 6 small meals do work best and here is why, your body can only use so much of the food you eat immediately, the rest has to be converted to fat and stored. If you eat small meals then you are not leaving extra in your system that needs to be stored.

2. Eat carbs early and protein later. A great method I teach people who are wondering how to lose body weight is to shift the times of day the eat certain foods. By not eating carbohydrates after lunch you set up an environment that encourages the breakdown of body fat for energy and maximize your weight loss.

3. More Veggies. Vegetables have lots of fiber which fill you up and keep your digestive system running well.

4. More protein. Protein was touched on in the last tip and you should include this important food in each meal throughout the day. The reason is because it keeps your blood sugar levels even making your body run efficiently and it also provides important building blocks to preserve muscle mass which is so vital to your metabolism.

5. Cut out calorie-laden sodas. A basic rule is don’t drink your calories, these are generally empty calories and do little to satisfy hunger.

When faced with the question of how to lose body weight you can do many things but the 5 essential dietary rules are to eat small meals throughout the day, eat carbs early, get plenty of protein and vegetables and don’t drink your calories, with these basics in place you are ready to build an even better weight loss plan.

How to Lose 10 Pounds in 30 Days – The 3 Targeted Components of Weight Loss Success

If you have a special occasion coming up or simply want to speed up your weight loss, this article will show you how to lose 10 pounds in 30 days. I will tell you that the results will not come for free but if you really want to lose 10 pounds over the next 30 days this article will show you the path to take.

Reaching this goal will require you to get 3 targeted components all working together:

1. Supercharge your diet. No matter how much total weight you have to lose, you will need to supercharge your diet to get these 10 pounds off. For the first 2 weeks of the month eliminate carbohydrates from your diet after lunchtime. In other words after lunch avoid breads, cereals, rice, pasta, potatoes and corn and fill up on proteins and vegetables.

This works in a couple of ways, first of all you will flush out a lot of unneeded water weight and second you create an internal environment that forces your body to become less dependent on carbohydrates for energy and your body then learns to burn body fat more efficiently.

You can continue with this plan for the last 2 weeks or slowly add carbs in.

2. Intensify your Exercise. There is no time for fooling around with the old exercise debate – just do it. The more you move the more you lose but you can boost your weight loss by exercising smart. You should do both strength-training exercises and aerobic exercise, and to maximize the benefit from your aerobic exercise add a few very high intensity bursts to the session.

3. Your head must be in the game. The often overlooked third component of weight loss success is possibly the most important; it is having the right mindset.

Lock your mindset on how great you will look and feel at the end of the 30 days and put your full effort into creating this change.

Look, you can follow a great diet and exercise plan but if the whole time you are doing the work you are telling yourself how much you hate to diet and exercise, then what kind of results do you really expect?

The answer to how to lose 10 pounds in 30 days is to get your diet, exercise and mindset all working together for weight loss success.
