Should I Get My Bachelors In Exercise Science Or Is Certifications All I Need For Fitness?
![]() |
I see Bob Harper from the biggest loser just has certifications like personal training, nutrition and group fitness. Can I be real successful with only certifications or do I need to go as far to get my bachelors in exercise science? If I get the degree would I be paid more? and would it give me more employment oppurtunities? Seems like you study the same stuff in school as you would for the certifications.

One day it will be regulated to where you have to have a degree and an NSCA certification (hopefully). So get your Bachelors degree so you don’t have to go back to school later on.
it depends on you and the location you are in. i myself am thinking about it as well. i ran track in college here in the states and plan to do it canada as well next year. also i am looking into taking science classes to becoem a ND in the future.
Why not get both…. this way your credentials would be solid!
unless u have a competition worthy physique
i agree both is better…..
means u can back up your claims…..
