
Anyone who is overweight wants to know the secret to losing weight. What the manufacturers of diet pills and programs won’t tell you is that there really is no secret. It is a proven fact that the only way to lose weight is to consume fewer calories than you are using up. It’s fairly simple math.
With that said, however, losing weight is easier said than done for most people. This is because people have a tendency to ‘punish’ themselves with a diet. When we diet, we are depriving ourselves of foods that we love, in most cases, and this almost always leads to failure.
Another mistake people make when it comes to losing weight is to not eat enough. Naturally, that just sounds odd. The object is to get the weight off, so why would you eat more? The secret here is to eat more of the healthy, low calorie foods, and less of the high calorie, high fat, loaded with carbohydrates foods.
The trick is to design an eating plan that works for you. So, you love fried foods. Great! Have a little bit of your favorite fried food once or twice a week. A little bit means a few bites – and no more. Then, on those days, increase your workout by about thirty minutes…no harm, no foul, no deprivation, no failure.
So, if you are serious about getting down to a healthy weight, get control of the foods that you put in your mouth. That’s the only real secret to weight loss.
