I need to lose weight for my wedding. I am eating healthy, low carb, low fat, no sugar.
I have a gym membership. What is the best exercise to lose the maximum amount of weight? How often should I workout and for how long?

resistance training burns more calories over a 24hr period than does the same amount of time spent doing cardio vascular exercise.
for maximum fat loss you want to incorporate both resistance training and cardiovascular exercise into your training regimen. performing circuit training is a great way to get a full body workout in a relatively small amount of time.
if you are using light weights which do not cause much damage to skeletal muscle you can do circuit training every other day.
cardio,an hour a day. 5 days a week.6 if you can.7 day is rest only.
A recent article suggested that interval training is probably best for weight loss and losing inches. Do an aerobic exercise, such as treadmill, elliptical, whatever. Then, when you are warmed up (perhaps 5 minutes or so), go at a maximum pace for 30 seconds, then drop back to normal and recover (about 3-5 minutes). You may not be able to sustain 30 seconds in the beginning so start with 5 or 10 seconds of intensity, then recover. Do this at least 3 times. Three times a week at the gym. Plus upper bod exercises. Remember also that once you have developed a routine, continuing the same routine doesn’t bring that much in benefits…you need to change your routines to maximize your benefits. Minimum 3 times per week at the gym. Good luck.
This site, although the main topic is bodybuilding, entails the specifics on cardio, muscle gains, diets, etc…http://www.rippednaturally.com/
Take a look (especially at the cardio section, it’s exactly what your looking for).
