I can currently realistically only run about 5 and then i am finished, what is an effective way to improve my fitness fast so that i can reach my goal of 12?

    heres a training plan for a marathon, should be running 12 miles in 5 weeks

    Go run 6 days a week. That 5 miles will get easier, and you’ll be able to gradually increase it. As you get in better shape, you’ll be able to do some long runs (8 or 10 miles) and some shorter ones (3-5 miles) each week. The longer runs help your endurance, the shorter ones your stamina.
    The only way to improve is to practice!

    i’m afraid there’s no way to improve past hard work, all you have to do is work your way towards it, regularly running, it can help to do other sports as all exercise will help to increase fitness, lung capacity, and the efficiency of your circulatory system. Cut out on the vices and get a good on a healthy diet.

    cut out LDL fats and do an hour or so cardio per day(jogging,running,biking,rowing), also you could work on your technique while running, also build up carb stores about 6 hours before running.

    eat a lot of fruit and meat,chicken and eat healthy drink a lot of milk in the morning lunch and dinner and practise running while u can!
