Dear..
Very low calorie diets not only slow your metabolism so you burn fewer calories, they can also cause muscle loss. Eventually, they shut down your metabolism completely. When this happens, the weight loss stops and any increase in calories that follows will cause immediate fat gain. This “rebound effect” is inevitable, because no one can stay on low calories forever.
Dieting is not effective in controlling weight. You can get a temporary weight loss with a diet, but each scheme ultimately gives way to weight gain, and subsequent losses become increasingly difficult. Worst of all, you get progressively fatter on less food. Dieting actually makes you fatter.
Carefully scrutinize the calorie recommendations of any diet program before you start it. You will probably discover that 95% of them have you slash your calories to “starvation” levels.
Any diets programs that are extremely low in calories will cause weight loss in the beginning – but it will never work for long.
You see, the human body is very “smart”. It always strives to maintain a magnificent state of equilibrium: Metabolism, body temperature, blood sugar, hormone levels, acid-alkaline balance and every other system in the body, are all regulated within a narrow range that your body finds safe and comfortable.
I know some people have the metabolism to deal with just about anything that’s edible – or even inedible… But eating sugar is a very bad idea because sugar is pumped around the body in the bloodstream, and any of it that isn’t burned as fuel for the muscles and brain is then stored in the body as fat!
That’s why it is a sneaky lie for food manufacturers to label their products as “low fat”. I mean, everything is “low fat” as long as you do enough hard manual exercise. But we live in the developed world, where all we do is sit on our fat bums and push buttons… So any food we eat is either burned up as spent energy or is stored as fat.
Sugar, being artificial, made in a factory has absolutely no nutrient value except energy. And when we don’t burn up that energy, we get fatter.
The lazy, convenient, luxury life we live in the west is killing us.
Low fat food is not good for weight loss. It is a blatant lie.
low fat diet may be good for achieving weight loss but that doesn’t meant you are free to eat sugar cubes thinking that you can still loose weight from that. Please keep in mind that foods that contains high sugar content are one of the main culprit that makes you gain weight.
If you still have a craving for sweet stuffs, i would recommend you to consider taking those that made from artificial sweeteners. Take less sugar and salt in your diet to eliminate the possibilities of exposing yourself to further health problems. Use less oil in cooking, cook your food by steaming them.
You should also limit deep fried foods to no more than twice a week. Take more fresh fruits such as grapes, they are free from fats, cholesterol and sodium. Fruits also provide a good source of vitamin C and potassium, packed with antioxidants; which you can help to fight against signs of old age too.
Sugar is the single worst thing for your healthy diet. It is the one item that you’re body gets absolutely no benefit from. For example, your body must have a certain amount of fat to function properly, but if your body never had sugar again, that would be okay. Food has to get it’s taste from something. If you eat a “fat-free” food, you can be assured that it’s high in sugar (or a synonym of sugar). Likewise, if you eat a sugar-free food, it’s probably high in fat…Eating regular food in reasonable portions will solve all those problems…good luck!
No, sugar is a carbohydrate. Sugar is a carbohydrate which is easily and quickly broken down in the body and carbohydrates are stored as fat in the body.
We still need carbohydrates. Keep away from sugar. Starch is good.
actually you may lose weight but low fat foods usually contain little nutrients. You probably could lose weight eating sugar cubes but i believe if you eat to many it would get stored as fat, not sure though…
no , sugar turns into fat in your body, and carbs turn in to sugar. get it?
