Do you have to do any kind of exercise in order to meditate. I know it’s helpful in order to make those positions, but is it really important? What if I don’t want to make any posture?

    I think the positions really help to channel your energy, however with experience you may be able to meditate w/o it. It takes some experience though to do it that way. Usually, you have already learned how to channel your energy and block everything out and clear the mind. It can be done, but you shouldn’t look for a short cut unless your at that point of training. Some of the exercises are designed to help clear the mind and relax the body.

  • I agree with spinner. Also when you exercise really hard it is easier to locate and concentrate on specific parts of your body. As your blood pumps through your limbs you can really feel it. also as your muscles fill with blood they will “mind” you better

    depends on the meditation style. for the less complicated meditations i don’t think so because all you need to do is focus on your breathing.
