How Often Should I Exercise And How Long For?

I’m 16 and am 15stone.
So I decided I definatly need to lose weight.
Last week I start a low carb, low fat diet.
I think I’m ready to do this, I’ve found my motivation, which took me a long time to do.
So there’s the question:
How often should I exercise and how long for?
Also what sort of exercises? I hate the place I live, riddled with chavs and yobs, so I don’t exactly want to go running like on the street.

I know I have wrecked my metabolism by eating too little for too long. Now my body thinks it’s in starvation mode, and says “If you’re going to starve me, I’m not going to burn one calorie!” So if I eat more, I just gain weight. I have researched for many years for even one program or expert who could help me lose weight due to this problem. Does anyone know of such a program that helps weight loss due to too little food? (less than 1000 calories a day).
