What Cereal Is Great For Weight Loss?
![]() |
I’ve recently started working out but I feel I need a change in my diet to really get in the shape I want. I’m a teenager, so that might affect what kind of cereal I should eat for weight loss. My stepmom recently bought Cocoa Dyno-Bites, but I don’t think it’s as healthy as it should be. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance. Have a great day.

Fiber one cereals are really healthy and pretty tasty. Especially the frosted wheat ones!
Also, I looooove kashi!
And you don’t need to stick to just cereal for breakfast, try whole wheat bagels or english muffins with all natural peanut butter, or a little jelly
Yummm.
Have a good day! Good luck!
I’m a teenager too.
i’ve been trying to lose weight, i have lost some, eating healthier.
anyways,
Cereals:
Special K
Grape Nuts(really yummy)
Quaker Oat
Fiber One
Shredded Wheats (i know theyre frosted, but theyre a good source of nutrition, and only a little sugar…)
Uhm…Make a Bowl Of Oatmeal, thats really good.
Also; breakfast doesnt just have to be cereal,
Try
eggs,
toast(whole wheat is the best)
bagels
fruit
nuts
yogurt
cottage cheese
anything healthy and not too high in sugar
Use sweeteners, like splenda, Stevia is the best natural sweetener, i use that.
……
Good Luck with ur weight loss
Any cereal with a lot of fibre in it. Cereal with a lot of fibre in it tends to be pretty bland and sometimes kinda yucky I find. You can add some zing in it by adding fresh fruit and/or yogourt with it. Look for these words on cereal boxes (fibre, whole wheat, low-fat). Basically anything with natural ingredients in it and no artificial sugary stuff.
Lol anything that tastes like crap.. Try cheerios, corn flakes, raisin bran, mini wheats.. Doesnt just have to be cereal, waffles are fairly low in calories and taste great with sugarfree syrup.. Just go to the store and look for things low in calories.. Be sure to check serving sizes too, for example, a carton of this rice stuff Im eating is 220 calories but there is 2.5 servings in it.. So its over 400 for the whole thing.. Drink lots of water also
I’ve checked out every diet known to man but nothing worked as good as acai berry. I know they say that pills will not work, but they sure worked for me, and they have been showcased on CNN too. There’s a free trial on right now at http://mapacers.t28.net , why not try it, what have you got to lose?
Anything that begins with Dino- in your food is NOT GOOD!
Don’t’ just change your cereal change your milk!
Vanilla soy and Special K’s Strawberry is the best! Try it you’ll love it add Bananas if you want to! hAnd have it not just for breakfast but as a snack…..
Im suggesting you to make your metabolism go fast so that you can make your goal perfectly.

Special K or Cheerios or a Fiber type cereal is healthy too.
When I am losing weight, I always have either Wheaties, Cheerios (regular), or Grape Nuts.
Any of the Kashi brands will definitely do the trick and they are also very healthy.
fitness cereal is intregral
Oatmeal or a high fiber cereal like Smart Start or Fiber One.
Shredded wheat is best as it has no sugar or salt.
special k diet
Special K.
Use fat free milk aswell.
Thats what I do(:
1. Eat a healthy cereal for breakfast each day. Have one serving or about 3/4 of a cup of cereal with 1 percent or skim milk and add some fruit such as some strawberries, bananas or blueberries.
2. Have a mid-morning snack of a piece of fruit, raw vegetables or a low fat cereal bar.
3. Eat a bowl of cereal for lunch. Eat the same type of cereal as you ate for breakfast or choose another kind that you like. Add milk and fruit to the bowl as well and consider changing it around each time you eat or adding multiple fruits to the bowl of cereal to keep things interesting.
4. Eat fruit or vegetable snacks in the afternoon mid-way between lunch and dinner to thwart cravings and reduce temptations to cheat. Some suggestions include fruit, a fruit cocktail cup, raw vegetables with a low fat dip, low fat cereal bars or a single serving of a prepackaged 100 calorie snack.
5. Enjoy a sensible dinner. Because of the reduction in your overall caloric intake through the day with the cereal diet, this dinner can be just about anything you like, within reason. Protein is a good idea at this meal because a large portion of your other meals do come from carbohydrates. Eat a decent portion so you become full and enjoy your evening meal.
6. Eat a snack in the evening such as fruits, vegetables, cereal bars or even an additional bowl of cereal with fruit if you are very hungry.
7. Follow this diet for two weeks and then add more variety to your diet according to recommended daily intake of meats, fruits and vegetables, bread and cereal and dairy products to ensure you are getting adequate nutrition. While this diet can result in weight loss over a short-term period, this is not a long-term weight loss solution.
Hey Whats sup MG!
Eating breakfast helps you lose weight. But not just any breakfast. A healthy, high fiber breakfast with plenty of fruit and whole grains is best. Choosing the best breakfast cereal can jump start your weight loss and provide the whole grain component of your healthy breakfast.
One side note before we get to the list of best cereals. What you put on your cereal is crucial too. You will get the fastest weight loss and most profound health benefits by following a no meat, no dairy, no eggs diet. Plant foods only. I recommend pouring soy milk or rice milk on your cereal. Read labels and choose one with little or no sugar, and organic if possible.
There are thousands of breakfast cereals. All the featured cereals below are high in fiber, have no hydrogenated oils or high fructose corn syrup, and are low in fat. Here are the best choices for healthy weight loss:
1. Oatmeal – Choose plain oatmeal and add your own toppings. For the best of the best, opt for organic oatmeal. Supercharge your oatmeal with sliced bananas, blueberries, cinnamon, strawberries, nuts, and a little stevia for sweetness.
2. Kashi Nuggets – A blend of seven whole grains, malted barley, and sesame. This cereal is really crunchy and satisfying. It’s also very low in sugar with only 3 grams per serving. Jazz it up with your favorite berries. It can even be heated in the microwave on cold mornings.
3. Barbara’s Shredded Oats – Main ingredients are whole grain oats and whole wheat. A little high in sugar at 12 grams per serving, but a nice treat once in a while.
4. Cascadian Farm Multi-grain Squares – Like Wheat Chex, only better because they’re organic and contain no preservatives or other chemicals. Low in sugar at 4 grams per serving and they taste great.
5. Nature’s Path Pumpkin Flax Granola – Flaxseed is the only plant source of Omega-3′s, clinically proven to help prevent heart disease. This granola’s main ingredients are a mixture of organic whole grains including oats, wheat, and brown rice. Unlike most granolas, it’s not high in fat.
6. Nature’s Path Organic Multigrain Flakes – Very low fat and low sugar. Crunchy and satisfying, holds up well with the soy or rice milk.
What about more commonly available cereals from the big names like Kellogg, Quaker, and Post? Some of them are tolerable, but all have something to avoid like trans-fats, too much sugar, chemical preservatives, or not enough whole grains. If you can’t find the brands featured above, at least read labels carefully and choose the highest amounts of fiber, lowest fat, and lowest sugar varieties. You can always order on-line if necessary.
What about added vitamins? A total gimmick! Adding poor quality vitamins to breakfast cereal has no nutritional value. You body only absorbs vitamins and minerals in their naturally occurring states from pure food sources like vegetables and fruit. Don’t fall for this advertising baloney. Follow a whole foods, plant-based diet including a variety of fruits and vegetables each day and you will get all the vitamins and minerals your body needs.
i do cheerios, the original, no sugar and 1%milk. i add shreded almonds in it for the crunch. dats yummy.. i also drink a cup of green tea with 1splenda. try to avoid fried, and fatty meals for lunch and dinner too. you can have a peanut butter sandwich for lunch a grapefruit for snack and chicken and/or shrimp with veggie soup for dinner. you’ll be fine
