What Time Of Day Do You Have The Most Energy To Exercise While Pregnant?

By Diet | Oct 8, 2009

Since I’ve been pregnant I am so exhausted (first trimester) and can’t seem to exercise. I work full time (office job) and need to work-out to feel good (I’m not overweight) but I find that I’m so tired that it’s really hard to even go for a walk after supper. When do you have the most energy to exercise? I’m assuming that once I do get going I’ll have more energy to continue.

There is a 24 hrs fitness like 5 mins from my work and i go during lunch. I do about 30-35 mins every work day. Forget the weekends cos i just can’t seem to get motivated. But for some reason i just love to workout during my lunch time.
You are in first trimester though, so i would suggest you just rest for now. Don’t worry you will get into the vibe once you start your second trimester.

When you have the most energy is different for every pregnant woman. But you are totally correct, even though you are super tired and exhausted, once you get going you will have more energy to continue.
Case in point – I have a toddler running around and at the beginning of this pregnancy when I was hit with the fatigue I didn’t even want to get out of bed in the morning! I had to of course, and once I started getting up and running around with her I was far more energetic than if I would have given in and rested.
That’s not to say you shouldn’t rest, however. Listen to your body, you’ll know if you’re able to get up and excercise or if you really should lay down and chill.
    Walking is the best! :)
    Good luck!

the 2nd trimester will get better. But with that being said it gets harder to sleep at night when you start tog et bigger and now I feel like any chance I can i get a nap in instead of a walk.

I don’t ever have the energy, lol. but I do have a 2 y/o and husband to take care of…I count that as exercise.
