Fat Loss 4 Idiots

I am aiming to lose approx 24 pounds.
I began seriously working on this 20 days ago.
I eat about 1100 calories a day, mostly carbohydrates.
This includes 4 cups of tea/cofee.
I walk for an hour every morning.
So far my weight loss has been 2 pounds in 20 days.
Where am I going wrong?

    Firstly you are not eating enough calories. That means your body has gone into starvation mode and is trying to preserve your weight. You should eat at least 300 more calories per day at first to ease yourself into the 1200 calories per day you should be eating at the peak of your plan. I would suggest start with 1500 and take out 100 calories a week until you get to 1200 calories.
    Also coffee tends to increase water retention so you may find that you are slimmer but the scale is not showing you have lost weight because you are retaining water. Try reducing the amount of salt and coffee you have and drink more water and green tea and also try to reduce your salt intake to help reduce water retention.
    Moreover your exercise contains a lot of aerobic exercise but you should vary it a bit more to get best results. So try cycling some days or playing tennis in order to get greater variety. This way you don’t get bored so you are more likely to stick to your regime and you work a greater variety of muscles to ease your weight loss. I would add some strength training to that as well because the more muscles you have the more calories you burn.
    Also eating mainly carbohydrates is not good when you exercise. You should add protein to increase your muscle conversion.
    Finally you need to give any diet some time in order to start working. Most of your diet efforts will start paying off after a few weeks and you will gradually start losing more and more weight. Hope this helps.

  • Eat, but not carbs. If you starve yourself, your body will freak out and will want to store every ounce in case it doesn’t get nourished again. You need to give it adequate nourishment so it doesn’t slow your metabolism down to adjust for lower calories.
    You will lose more body fat eating protein and fat (don’t eat protein alone) than not eating AT ALL. To lose weight fast eat all you want but nothing but meat, eggs, healthy oils, mayo, butter and half an avocado a day (you’ll need added potassium). Keep your fat percentage high. Adding in green vegetables & some cheese will continue weight loss but at a slower pace.
    Simple carbohydrates (sugar, flour, bread, cereal, pasta, potatoes, rice) triggers insulin which can store the calories you eat into fat. The more protein you eat the more the fat burning hormone glucagon is released. The more carbohydrate you eat the more the fat storage hormone insulin is released.
    High insulin levels unbalance other hormones. Controlling your insulin level will balance out other hormones & allow human growth hormone (HGH) to be produced naturally so you will gain lean muscle even without exercise. Any exercise will greatly increase your muscle mass with high HGH levels.
    Reducing body fat and increasing muscle mass will have you in awesome shape in no time. Good luck!

    The thing is a majority of overweight people want to lose weight real quick in a bid to look good and impress outsiders,friends.what they do is follow some crap diet and the following things happen as a result of dieting
    1)feel very hungry every day
    2)get fed up of dieting within few days and finally give up
    3) start binging
    4)again get conscious about their weight and get desperate to lose weight “QUICKLY”
    5)again start some other diet
    and the cycle(1-5) repeats forever and they will never lose weight.Their metabolism gets screwed up in the process.The result
    -weakness,body pains,weight gain,more junk food cravings,anaemia,irritation,frustration,… low bp. IMPATIENCE is the culprit.What people are not trying to understand is that it takes”TIME” to lose weight and keep it off forever provided you follow a proper nutritious diet combined with exercise.Weight loss is all about calories.You do not have to give up eating your regular food .Eat right foods at the right time.Dont eat less than 1200 calories when trying to lose weight.Eat less more frequently(eat every 2 hours).Dont sit immediately after eating.Walk for 20 to 30 min.     You need to eat mostly protein, fat, and vegetables, and unless you’re a midget you’ll need more than 1100 calories a day, also to lose weight.
    Walking is useless for weight loss unless you’re morbidly obese. Do weightlifting or bodyweight exercises 3 times a week (every other day), combined with at least medium intensity cardio training on the days you don’t do the weights, with one day of rest.

    Okay, hello, i’m 21 years old, i too try to lose some weight. Now, you need to be more active, in 20 days i’ve lost 8 pounds. How? Everyday JOGGING 35 minutes, i eat 1400 calories, well that’s me i’m a guy so i need to eat more. Lose the coffee, bad intake of calories. I think your calorie intake is very good though, just add more exercise. Stimulate your metabolism.

  • if you REALLY WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT AND FAT then you should remember and do this:
