Are you a baby boomer from fat? Loss of fat is more difficult with age, but you can return spring in your step, and your waistline too. Here are four tips to help you lose weight and feel good quickly.
1. Your metabolism slows as You age: Boost
Here's the bad news. Your metabolism slows down two per cent per decade after 30, mainly due to loss of muscle mass. This is bad news because when you have less muscle, you burn fewer calories, and thisleads to weight gain.
However, once you understand that fat around the waist is due to loss of muscle mass, you can boost your metabolism by exercising more. If you have never attended an exercise regimen, it's time to start.
Not only will you look better, you'll feel better too. So if you want to feel like you did when you were 30, build exercise into your day.
2. Small meals more often defeats Belly Fat
It is not necessary to say farewell tocakes, chocolate and biscuits forever. You can have daily treatment. However, it is essential that you eat well and often. This helps keep your metabolism humming, and will slowly remove the fat around your middle.
Eat five small meals a day – breakfast is the most important meal because it kick starts your metabolism for the day.
3. Exercise as a lifestyle choice: move, it is good for you
As we have said, as you age, your metabolism slows down, because your muscle massdecreases. Therefore, the more exercise you do, the better.
Consider your lifestyle: how is it settled? If you sit all day at work, then make a change of lifestyle and start and end your day with exercise. Walk before you leave for work (yes, you need to get up earlier, but it's worth it).
Visit a gym after work several times a week. You do not join the nimble twenty-somethings in their classrooms. Join a yoga class or Pilates.
On weekends, take golf, hiking,Gardening: everything that makes you move, rather than sitting.
4. Eat well and exercise to Defeat Aches and Pains
As you age, you have pain in places you've never been aware: suddenly you know that you sent, and they hurt.
Good food and exercise can not only pain, but it helps you sleep better too.
