Cayenne Pepper and Water Diet – Fad or Fiction?
![]() |
Have you heard of cayenne pepper and water supply? The controversy surrounding recently known as cayenne pepper and water supply, mainly because of his association with Beyonce Knowles who has apparently lost 20 pounds during filming for the movie "Dreamgirls" living only cayenne pepper and water. The facts are not disputed, the actress apparently loses weight rapidly over a short period and there is no reason to question how this was achieved.
However, thequestion to ask is can we call this a "diet"? Some will say that Beyonce Knowles has done is simply go without food, surviving only on liquids. Surely cayenne had no noticeable effect other than to perhaps add a little taste of water?
It should perhaps be noted that there are certainly benefits to health associated with pepper spray, including promoting digestion, strengthening the heart, claims it contains mild painqualities, and there are even reports of the use of pepper as a dressing for wounds.
Even taking these into account reported profits, it can cayenne pepper and water diet really be called a diet? It should rather be regarded as a purely hungry company hired by an actor wishing to lose weight quickly the pursuit of his art and his career, probably with the safety net offered to highly paid and closely monitored movie stars. Presumably, it has beensurrounded by assistants and helpers who were immediately on hand Beyonce had suffered any effects of starvation or disease.
The danger in this story, as with other fad diets is that people impressionable young girls in particular, have heard of pepper spray apparently miraculous water supply and want them to, without any regard for the obvious dangers to health and significant inherent to starve yourself in such a manner. In particularthis type of diet could be very damaging if it continues for some time, any form of fasting should be monitored carefully for signs of deteriorating health.
It must be said that history and the controversy it has created are not the fault of Beyonce Knowles, rather it is created by the hype of trying to take advantage of the possibility others may try to follow his example. Lately, other actors were required to lose weight quickly for their future role forFor example, Christian Bale in the movie The Machinist. The actor dropped his weight to a dangerously low level by eating an apple would have a single can of tuna per day, but this does not become the apple "and" tuna fad diet, probably because Christian Bale not the widespread image in the same fashion as Beyonce.
So, in conclusion, is it really a plan? I would not suggest, with the hype that surrounds him now, he could be considered a passing fad, and possibly adangerous. The only sure way to permanently lose weight is to eat healthy food, eat in moderation and, above all undertake regular exercise. If you do this, you burn excess fat, your arteries remain clear and healthy, and you do not risk damaging your body by depriving it of food it needs to stay fit and healthy.
