1. Use nutritional timing. It is not uncommon for someone who has been overweight or inactive for a long time to become weight loss resistant, basically the body has become inefficient at burning body fat for energy and very efficient at turning the foods you eat into fat.

You can change this by changing your diet and the secret is in timing when you eat carbohydrates. By eating your last carbohydrates for the day at lunchtime you create an internal environment that promotes the burning of body fat for energy.

Carbohydrates are your body’s top choice for energy but if they are not available your body has no choice but to burn body fat. This restores your body’s ability to burn fat.

2. Drink plenty of water. Water helps your body metabolize fat.

3. Don’t drink calories. Sugary sodas, flavored coffees and alcohol give a ton of sugar and carbohydrates and give you very little nutrition in return.

4. Vary your calorie intake. Your body is very good at adapting to a certain level of calorie and if you are eating the exact same amount day after day your body will lower your metabolism to match the calorie intake. Keep your calories changing, an easy way is to keep your calories steady for 6 days and then boost them on day 7 by 25 – 50%.
