Fat Loss Cardio Vs Pilates?

By Diet | Nov 1, 2009

I’ve been doing mostly 5 fat loss cardio sessions, and was thinking about doing a Pilates class. IS there any benefits? Anyone Cons and Pros?
Anyone dislike pilates or like it? And why? Also, what does it work if anything?

Pilates is not the best calorie-burning exercise out there. But it wasn’t designed to be. Joseph Pilates designed it to “lengthen and stretch the muscles”. It improves balance and flexibility, develops your core (abs, lower back, and glutes) , and improves your mental focus. Core awareness will help you 24/7, no matter what activity you’re engaged in, from shovelling snow to lifting a baby. Pilates will work the entire body, too, by using various parts of the core as fulcrums for the other muscles. But you must find a certified instructor and, in my experience, avoid gym Pilates and go to a private studio.
