You should know your Maximum Heart Rate and your correct training zone to know if you are training at the right pace. Here are a few ways to figure your target heart rate.http://www.thewalkingsite.com/thr.html
The site below has a calculater where you have to fill in requested fields, it requires info such as age, heart rate at rest, and fitness level.http://www.stevenscreek.com/goodies/hr.s…
who knows
Everyones level is differant. There are mathmatical ways to figure it, but the best way is to monitor your own workout like this. You should be able to talk, but not sing. You should be sweaty and feel like your getting a workout, but not ready to drop on the floor. You must continually increase your energy level to continue to increase your fitness level. Which pretty much means it is very important to push yourself a little further each time you workout.
Good Luck
Please be careful when actually calculating the target heart rate as this is a broad scale and does not take into account any medications or preexisting conditions. Hence the reason I go by how each person individually feels at the peak of all my classes.
