Is It Better To Exercise Everyday Or Just A Few Times A Week?

Is it really necessary to exercise every single day and when i say exercise i mean vigorous exercise, for example, going on an exercise for about 90 minutes, or jogging or doing aerobics. Is it necessary to do this everyday to stay in good shape or can you still stay in good shape if you exercise let’s say three times a week? What do you think?

No, vigorous exercise should be about every-other day, but it should be a alternation and combination of exercises (cardio, flexibility, endurance, and strength training). On “off” days, I would try to at least do yoga, walk, swim, ride a bike, or do something that is active enough to keep your metabolism working, but also gives your muscles time to heal.
I think it is healthy to get outdoors for a brisk walk or jog in nature. Listen to your body and what it tells you it WANTS to do. Your body is intelligent. In this society, we get trained to eat all our dinner, do sport when we feel tired, etc etc. We lose touch with our instincts, and this is not healthy. But do try and go for walks where it is safe and there is fresh air. This is very good for you and the body was created to be used. Enjoy it!
If you do the same exact workout, then a few times a week, but if you do different workouts and work different parts of your body, then you can do it every day.
It just means that you have to rest up the muscles in your body and prepare them for more excercises.
I used to run last summer about 6 miles a day 5 days a week, and i pretty much felt great all the time….. if it is lifting weights i think 3-4 times a week is better though, but runners will usually train every day, but rest the day before races
Depends on the level of shape you want to be in its possible to be in good shape by just going once a week, also go on a fixed diet if you want to be in shape sometimes it doesnt matter how much you excercise you can still look the same if you dont change that
you can exercise about 4 days a week, do it every other day. you should do a balanced exercise of cardio and weights. maybe 45 min of cardio and 30 min of weights to stay toned
The experts say 3 times a week for 30 mins. You could every day if you want, but just do it for say, 20 mins per day. Doesn’t have to be a long time. Certainly not 90 mins. That is excessive.

Here’s my regime: I do heavy exercise 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday), light exercise 2 days of the week (Tuesday, Thursday), and I give myself the weekends off. It works for me! I’ve been losing weight.

though you should slowly and slowly increase the amount of exercise you do .. so that a sudden rise in the amount of execise does not effect you badly…
