    i lost 5 stone, my top secret weight loss secret was to exercise and eat less unhealthy food.

    um… the key to weight loss is
    1) plenty of exercise
    2) healthy diet with a good balance of fruit and veg plus proteins (e.g. fish, meat, eggs)
    3) eating modest portions regularly (no this doesn’t mean only one meal a day !!!)
    4) drink water.
    5) sleep.
    You need to avoid
    1) processed foods and ready cooked meals – they contain loads of additives, invariably high in salt and sugars.
    2) additional sweeteners – including saccharine, aspartame etc. They just maintain the craving for sugars. You should get enough from fresh fruit.
    3) carbonated drinks – even low cal.They will leave you feeling bloated and windy.The best thing is plain water.
    At 15 your body is still developing. Rather than diet, exercise. Best all round activity is swimming, plus it’s low impact. Any form of running will burn calories, but beware of overdoing it – it can put stress on knees and ankles. Rowing is another good all round exercise regime. Very good for strengthening tummy muscles.
    Final note – exercise will mean you burn up calories. You will also tone up and maybe build muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat. It also sits in different areas than fat. So you may find your waistline reduces, but (possibly) your shoulders get bigger. The other plus point is that your stamina will improve.
