    Eat some complex carbs like veggies and fruit and what not. The will help you be able to sustain your energy throughout the workout. I protien shake is good also. It not only give you the quality carbs it gives you some protien for you muscles to absorb while they are at there most “accessible”. This is even a good idea to drink while working out if you can stomach it. But to answr your question on a real basic level you want something light that’s no more than 300 cal. and healthy. Like a lean ham sandwich with lettuce and tomato on whole wheat bread!
