I would say yes.
It’ll get you in pretty good cardiovascular conditioning, but you’ll want to at least do some running as well so that you can get your legs used to the intensity that running demands.
Otherwise, you’ll be in good cardiovascular conditioning, but your legs (calves, shins, hamstrings, thighs) may feel quite exhausted and in pain, while running and afterward…
