Effectiveness Of Sweating For Weight Loss?

Fat Loss 4 Idiots

I’ve been jogging a long time bt eventually got bored which led to laziness and weight gain. Then I decided to take up swimming and I don’t seem to be getting the same results as oppose to th popular belief that it is great for weight loss. My stamina has improved bt thats it. I wantd to ask if ‘sweating’ affects the results, especially since swimming gets you out of breath but it’s not really a sweaty exercise.

    Hey,
Swimming is one of the best cardiovascular activities anyone can do for weight loss. Sweating is a good form of weight loss, but it is not the 100% best. When you sweat all you are doing is burning off water weight. Ever notice how all these super skinny girls never seem to sweat? Yet they still seem to be in great shape. And obese people tend to sweat a lot by just being outside in the sun, but yet the are still obese. So this shows that it is not the sweat that makes you lose weight, its the cardio and hard work you put forth to acheive your goals.
    Hope this helped,
    Michael

How would you know of you are sweating if you are in the water?????
Swimming is a great total body exercise, by being immersed in water, the excess heat produced by the body during exercise is constantly being lost to the water. On land, you would sweat in an attempt to regulate your increasing body temp. but the water would pretty much do the same, if not more efficiently

    ya of course it does.
if u r really doing exercise with little sweat in your body but your shirt is not wet==means u have achieved 70-80%targated heart rate which is very good sign to condition your heart in long term
severe sweating with wet shirt===even 5 min of this type meanns 90% of targated heart rate achievement dear!!!!!!!!
    so congrates!!!!!!!!!!
    its your success
    keep it up
it is the consistency in exercise which is important
this type of exercise u plz contonue daily/if 5 days a wk u will achieve very good cardiac+overall health!!!!!!
5 hrs / wk we recommend moderate exercise
or atleast 150 min of intense+90 min of moderate exercise/wk
actually 1200 cal shd be burned each wk to keep u fit
and wt will reduce only if u take 300-500 cal less than current wt maintainence

sweating is the BEST weight loss method, you will lose more weight in a shorter time period than any other method. Unfortunately the only weight u lose is water weight.
sweating just cools you down… its a factor of how hot u get. while swimming you may or may not sweat but there is less a need to sweat b/c heat is more easily transferred to the water.

I have been through it all and know what’s it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can’t be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I’ve worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.
Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.
First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can’t eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising…
This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it’s good for the heart.
However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It’s so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I’ve found a great addition to help any one out, it’s a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don’t get all crazy on me and say diet pills don’t work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn’t meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It’s an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace dot com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it’s the best pill I’ve tried and I’ve tried cupboards full. Now this doesn’t mean you have to follow my foot steps but I’ve successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day.
Well good luck and remember what I said, Dedicate.
