How To Avoid Sagging Skin And Breasts With Fast, Major Weight Loss?

By Diet | Dec 7, 2009

I weigh 420 lbs and am taking steps to lose this weight before I die of a heart attack or something. I plan to weigh 200 lbs by August. However, I am very concerned with sagging skins and breasts. I realize I will probably need some surgery, but I was hoping to give my skin a little help to avoid surgery as much as possible. What have some of you tried to avoid the major sagging skin that comes with major weight loss? Thank you all!

Your breasts will sag, sorry. The reason they appear full now is that breasts are made of two things, fat, and glandular tissue which makes milk. When you lose fat, you will lose it from your breasts, too and they will become smaller.
It is so very important to incorporate weight training. You will burn fat, and gain muscle which will help a lot with the sagging skin lot over your whole body. This is the slow approach. Diet and exercise. But if you do lose all that weight that fast, you skin will not contract that quickly.

Exercise is very important when you are doing any weight loss program. Keep your skin up with the weight you loose. Drink lots of water and try not to loose it too fast. The faster you loose it the more chance of sagging you will have. I’m sure you are anxious now that you have made the decision to become a healthier person and congrats to you for that. Just be patient and work hard and you will be much happier with the results. Why set yourself up for additional expenses on stuff like surgery when you don’t have to? Good luck!

Get a sweat suit it helps to shape and counter gravity. Avoid bouncy exercises like skipping jumping or running. Try swimming, incline walking, stairs climbing… Rememeber to drink more water during work out, sweat suit can squeeze juices out of you.
    Good luck BIGMaMa!

It will contract a bit, but you are going to have some loose skin. I even have a little and I only lost 80 pounds. You need surgery to get rid of it.

CONGRATS! On becoing a healthier person. I wish you Luck on your weight loss journey. I would recommend lifting weights. Try Slim-in-6 from Beach Body. They have the toning cord that allows you to lose weight and tone up at the same time. And, the exercises are easy. I lost 26 lbs. so far and I have about 60 more lbs. to lose to get to my goal weight. I used the Medifast System from Take Shape for Life. It teaches you to eat 5-6 small meals a day and you eat every 2-3 hours to speed up your metabolism.
