I Know That High Protein Diets Are Used For Weight Loss And Obese Patients, But Are There Any Other Reasons?

I’m in my first semester of nursing school and have to make a high protein diet plan. I also have to know the reason why I would use a high protein diet. I have researched, and all I can find is that it’s used for weight loss. Can anyone tell me any other reasons?

Protein builds muscle which burns fat. here’s a link you can read more at. take care and good luck.
I too am in the medical field and took nutrition. I don’t believe in the high protein diet. If protein output is not monitored it can throw you into acidkesoidois and shut your kidneys down. Which can if left go cause death. Any diet that does not advocate a healthy well rounded diet is not good for your overall health.
High protein diet is useful because it builds muscles and gives energy to the patients. High protein diets help to decrease the amount of cholesterol in the patient body, thus reducing the risk of obesity and other health problems.
Protein can help to reduce the consumption of carbohydrates and sugar.
