If I Get A Job At 24 Hour Fitness, Am I Allowed To Work Out While On The Job?

Fat Loss 4 Idiots

I’m considering applying for a job at 24 hour fitness at the front desk position. But I’m wondering if I will be allowed to work out in the gym if there is nothing going on that needs my attention. Any help from someone who has work/ed there, or simply just goes there would be very much appreciated. Also, for those that work there, can you give me a brief job description and how you felt about the job? Did you enjoy it?

I don’t work in 24 hour fitness but a fitness facility related to them. I am both a trainer and a front desk assistant and i have to say no you cannot workout while on the job. In neither positions.

I doubt it. It really depends on your position. Chances are they are not going to let you work out because you will be working, but generally, they will not care if you have nothing else to do. (If your job is to clean stuff but everything is already clean). I know that other gym’s allow you to work out for free when you’re not on the clock but they don’t pay you to work out..

  • If you provide personal training to people it can be quite annoying when people come up to you and disrupt your workout. My advice to you is throw in a pair of head phones and blast some music so no on will bother you!

i imagine only if your a trainer demonstrating the rigth way to do it….
thats not really productive working out while on clock…but im sure you could before and after work
its a gym theyll want someone at the front desk all the time…just think how much money they could lose with you being there to set up memberships and ask qs
    work out on break too

I’m pretty sure you’re not allowed to work out on the job.
That would be like getting paid to work out. :
When really, it should be the other way around.
