Most if not all experts would agree that "fad" or "fast" programs of weight loss should be avoided like the plague when you're breastfeeding! Here is a list of reasons why:
Fat-soluble environmental contaminants and toxins are stored in body fat. When caloric intake is severely restricted, these toxins are released into the milk. Ok, so what is "severely restricted? I do not know the exact definition of"Severely restricted", as I'm sure it's different for everyone but I think it must be significantly under 1500 calories per day.
Mothers with poor diets deplete their own energy levels and manage risk of becoming anemic. The bodies of the mother will pull nutrients from their own reserves of energy to continue to produce the milk their baby needs. This loss will cut into your lean tissue (muscle), your bones make you lose muscle tone and bone density. This mayhave a lasting impact on overall health
Accelerated attempts to lose weight while breastfeeding can make feeding your baby at risk, because your body will start to produce substances called ketones, which could make your milk and unhealthy. You should not take any weight – loss drug, a liquid diet or cutting your calories below the recommended amount for your height and build.
Do not take advice from the so-called "experts" in the gym.It is probably safe to assume that they are neither doctors nor experts of breastfeeding. They are paid to sell you supplements that their offers gym and are very good at telling you what you want to hear to make you buy their products. Some manufacturers of these products clearly indicate that women who are pregnant or nursing should not take them. Most of these products are made of a combination of various ingredients, some of which can affect your milk and therefore your baby.It's not worth taking risks.

No more "3 squares a day"
Avoid eating 2-3 large meals a day and instead eat 3 small meals with snacks in between. You want to "graze" all day, not gorging. This will keep your body out of fashion "famine" and it will be less likely to store fat. Small snacks like nuts, fruit, string cheese and whole grain crackers make a great case that is easy to assume thego. Most women in this country do not suffer from lack of food, but eating too much bad food.
Watch What Goes In:
Try to keep your fat intake to 20-25% or less of total calories than you consume. Avoid lowering your intake of protein, as this may lead to depletion of muscle mass. Lean muscle mass burns fat and calories so the more you have the easier it is to lose weight. It is recommended that the contribution of nursing about 65 grams ofprotein daily for 6 months.
Moderate exercise:
Light weight training will help you build lean muscle and speed up your metabolism. This will help you burn more fat and calories even at rest.
