What Do I Need To Add To My Diet To Improve My Alertness?

Fat Loss 4 Idiots

My diet consists mainly of things I can cook or heat up quickly, as I work shifts and don’t often have time to cook anything big. I try to include fruit and vegetables whenever I can but it’s not always possible.
Recently I’ve been getting tired a lot during the day, but then I find I can’t always sleep at night. Sometimes it’s the opposite and I go into a deep sleep and don’t always wake up to my alarm. I’m worried that this is because I’m not getting the right amount of things from my diet.
Can anybody suggest the types of food I need to add?

  • Protein increases alertness and helps give you more energy. The calming effect from carbohydrates and the energizing effect from protein provide a good balance. To pep yourself up, try eating eggs, low fat cheese, milk, tofu, lean meats, fish, legumes, turkey, and/or lean beef.

Eat healthy and not junk food and that too when hungry and not more than three times a day. Water alone can be taken in between.
Chew each morsel at least 32 times so that ur body massaging system is activated and tells u in time that u have had enough.
Take light exercises and brisk walks on regular basis. U will attain ur desirable weight within a reasonable time.

i think u should change your diet a little bit. try do drink milk before u sleep. u might be lacking of a lot of nutrients if u keep heating your food. do u eat breakfast regularrly? Try to grab a breakfast cereals in the morning. choose the right types of cereals or muesli. for your busy life.. eat canned tuna or salmon. choose the one in springwater. u can make a quick tuna sandwiches.
Just steam some veggies and u can dip it dipping like, sundried tomatoes… etc. u can buy them. besides that always put an apple or pear or anything u like in your bag so u can grab them anytime.
u can cook something simple and quick, for example simple pasta… u can add avocado, tuna and some herbs just toss them and add some parmesan… they’ re great
u may need balance of protein or amino acids. protein is important for alertness.. it’s not only the amount of protein that matters but the quality. u need a balance of 9 essential amino acids to get bettter health. if u’re lacking one of them.. your body can;t just properly. u need to eat a wide range variety of food to get them

Different types of spices can be good. Peppermint, or sometimes just mint-flavored stuff can kick your brain into gear.
(I eat mints to stay awake in boring classes.) Try mint gum

Eat turkey as it contains tryptophyn (spelling) that promotes sleep. I personally add coffee to my diet to enhance alertness.
