What is the best diet to lower cholesterol?

Low Carb Diets
There is some controversy over whether diets low carb low cholesterol. Most concerns about the diets low in carbohydrates is that they tend to be high in fat. Some people say that the fat does not matter, and some people were annoyed when they think everyone that eating lots of red meat fat. Here are some nutritional facts to help you to sort:
– You need enough carbohydrates to get adequate amounts of fiberand phytonutrients (antioxidants and other protective micronutrients from plants). It is best accomplished by eating whole grains, legumes, fruits and vegetables. You do not need sugar or processed white flour.
– Red meat is a problem. It is rich in saturated fat, which raises cholesterol. You should probably limit the amount of red meat you eat.
– "White" of lean pork, poultry and wild game meat has less saturated fat, and is a better choice.
–Fish is an even better because it is rich in omega-3 oils, which fight against cholesterol.
– Egg yolks are much, much, much saturated fat, and you should probably limit yourself to three or four a week. Egg whites, however (or egg substitute, which is just colored egg whites) have no fat, and you can eat them all you want.
The type of fat you eat is more important than how much fat you eat. Monounsaturated oils like olive oil are the best and even help to reduceyour cholesterol.
Low Fat Diets
The more traditional cholesterol-lowering diet is a diet low in fat. To be honest, it does not seem very different from a diet low in carbohydrates in many ways. A diet low in fat is more dependent on complex carbohydrates and less meat. Here are the guidelines:
– Eat plenty of complex carbohydrates, especially those good for you "whole grains, legumes, fruits and vegetables.
– Avoid red meat as much as possible.
–Eat small amounts of white meat.
– Eating fish two or three times a week.
– Limit to 2 eggs per week. Once again, you can eat all the egg whites as you want.
– Limit fat. Avoid saturated fats and trans fats.
If you follow these guidelines, one of them is a good diet to lower cholesterol. Either one will work for you if you also exercise and lose any excess weight.
