  • In the wild, most breeds of dog (or wolf) regularly make dairy-based products like cheese & yoghurt not so much for the health benefits but because they really like them…
That breeder is full of baloney.

    It’s a really good source of protein.http://dogtime.com/vegetarian-dog-food-s…

your dog gets calcium from both but the main reason for cottage cheese is protein and yogurt is calcium I feed my dogs a homemade diet and the vet and I talked it over. your give a meat(chicken, lamb, beef, turkey, buffalo or pork)a grain(noodles, rice white or brown but brown is better)different veggies(I give peas carrots s.potatoes broccoli squash turnip cauliflower and potatoes every so often because they are starchy and cause weight gain) I will mix in cottage cheese or yogurt depending on what veggies I put in. I some times sneaky in cranberries or apples(one of my dogs hates fruit so I have to trick him :) ) But cottage cheese and yogurt help maintain a healthy balance in a dogs diet, but before changing or adding anything to your dogs food routine please check with your vet to make sure it is ok for your dog, hope this helped.

Health and it is more tantalizing to the dog.

Right now we are putting some cottage cheese in my dogs food because he has a sensitive stomach right now and it is also a really good source of calcium.

PLAIN unflavored yogurt has good bacteria that aids in digestion. Cottage cheese, as has been stated previously, is a good source of calcium.

  • Dreamer:

Cottage cheese is a great source of calcium, as is yogurt. Yogurt also helps with digestion. I give my Papillon both from time to time, he loves them.

It’s a good source of calcium and it helps put the good bacteria into the stomach to help with digestion.Buttermilk is good too.
The only time I have given it on a daily basis is when one of my dogs got into something somewhere and ended up with some bacterial infection where there was an overabundance of bad bacteria in the digestive tract.

  • TKS:

For protein and calcium. Yogurt also helps digestion.
