i need to loss at least 10lbs. i’m 37yrs, 5ft. 130lbs i have been contanstly exercising ( running, race walking ) everyday for 3 months now. i have also lessen my portions in my meals and cut off rice. I have fruits for lunch. i’m taking l-carnitine ( 500mg ) and green tea tablets to help my weight loss but i still haven;t lost any weight. my tummy is still bulky. i haven’t seen any difference.pls help me, i’m desperate. i only want to feel good even if i do not loss the entire goal, at least this time i should have at least seen or felt a slight changes in my efforts of exercising and healthy eating.

    1) See your doctor. You sound like you may have an eating disorder. You’re fixated on a number and a “bulky tummy” and you say you’re “desperate.”
    2) Muscle weighs more than fat. When you consult with your doctor and lose weight in a healthy manner you don’t use a scale. They measure your body fat. Body fat is all that really matters.
    3) You lost that 10 pounds a long time ago and don’t realize it. It was replaced by what is known as lean muscle.

    Why I am saying this is because I know, trust me! all your problems are over.
    START TO LISTEN TO MUSIC THAT IS OF THE TYPE OF MARCHING BAND. Get to like such music. how it helps the vibrations of music will do more burning of flesh than you can by exercises. AND WITH LESS EFFORT !!!

    Colour therapy: – try staying in a room coloured red.
    Take a bottle of water keep it in the sun with a red covered transparent sheet. It will be hot, take a few drops of the water and mix it with regular water you drink.

    drop all starchy and sugary foods..
    stick to whole grains
    lean fats
    olive oil (if you use oils)
    no salad dressings (see olive oil)
    etc..
    still not burning all the calories, so cut those calories too..

    I have never had a problem with my weight all my life – I have always been slim but maybe i can help.
    cutting down your food intake could hurt you and not help you lose weight, from my own experience cabohydrate and sugar do not increase weight:
    Eat more of fiber foods with enough protein in your meal (beans is one of the best fibre foods with protein, maize, millets oats)
    Eat less of eggs, fatty foods – though you need them once in a long time.
    More of sea foods e.g prawns, snails, fish (salmon is very good).
    Fruits and vegetables: If you can make tomatoes stew with sea foods, served with plain potatoes or rice (or anything that goes); apples, oranges, pawpaw, green vegetables, (pumpkin is very rich – prepare with some TANGIBLE spice like fish, meat or crayfish dont overcook).
    gulp down a bottle of water early in the morning before brushing your teeth or urinating, some enzimes in the mouth will be washed into the stomach and i learnt this helps to take away fatty acids, Also exercise before you go to bed.
    Lose weight while smilling – I am not an expert but i think this might help. Please let me know of the results

  • I’m sure you know this, but muscle weighs more than fat. If you are doing an adequate amount of exercising and healthy eating, you are probably gaining muscle and loosing fat, hence your weight is staying stable. A word of advice, don’t pay attention to the number on the scale. I always say, it is just how much gravity is pulling you down, hehe. Really though, start measuring your self with a seamstress ruler instead. You are most likely loosing inches in some areas and gaining in others. That or get a body fat monitor. Just keep it up, and maybe mix in a little exercise to target the areas you are more concerned with. One of my favorite, easy to follow target exercises it Carmine Electra’s Fit to Strip DVD, it is disk 2 in her series. Unlike the other ones in her series where you are mainly doing more of an aerobic type exercise, this one focuses on those hard to tame areas, and is more like a light cardio core training. Good luck, and don’t loose the inspiration!
